The Early Hours
If you wake early, the athletic centre opens at 6 AM for hotel guests 19 and over. The indoor pool, hot tub and waterslide follow at 8 AM, every day. There is no lifeguard, so keep an eye on anyone in your group who swims. A slow lap and a few minutes in the hot tub make an easy start. Both close at 11 PM, in case you missed them last night.

Breakfast at the Cove Café
Breakfast at the Cove Café runs from 9 AM to 11 AM every day. The café sits inside the casino, and the hotel is directly connected to it, so you can walk over from your room. The casino doors open at 9 AM too, every day except Christmas Day, when the casino stays shut.
PixelPlay Cafe, inside the hotel, also lists breakfast along with bubble tea and baking. Its hours are not published, so call the hotel at 250-614-9111 to ask.

Out by Eleven
Check-out at the hotel is by 11:00 AM. Breakfast at the Cove Café also ends at 11 AM, so the two land on the same hour. Pack your bags before you sit down to eat, and the morning stays easy. Leaving the room first and then walking over works too, as long as you reach the café well before eleven. For anything else about the room, the hotel's number is 250-614-9111.

Cashing a Ticket Before You Go
The lottery centre sits at the Guest Services desk, left of the entrance, and cashes winning tickets up to $24,999. A ticket of $2,000 or more is checked Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Bring 2 pieces of government photo ID for that check.
Slot tickets go to one of the three Ticket Redemption Machines, which turn them into cash. If you carry an Encore Rewards card, points not claimed within a year expire. They are redeemed at a slot machine with the card and a 4-digit PIN.

When you leave is your call, so pick your hour by the light and the weather as you see them. Snowbound gives no road reports and no driving times. Can I swim before breakfast?
There is time for a swim first. The indoor pool, hot tub and waterslide open at 8 AM, an hour before the Cove Café starts serving breakfast. There is no lifeguard, so swim with care.
Is breakfast served on Sunday?
It is, because the Cove Café serves breakfast every day from 9 AM to 11 AM. Sunday works the same as any other morning.
Can I cash a $3,000 lottery ticket on a Sunday morning?
That one has to wait for Monday. Tickets of $2,000 or more are checked Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 2 pieces of government photo ID. If you are staying over a weekend, Monday morning at 9:00 AM is the first chance.
