The evening

When the Dealers Start

Live tables open at 4:15 PM Monday to Thursday and at 11:15 AM Friday to Sunday. They run until 2 AM. The first table of the day does not open by itself, though. A player asks the pit boss in person, and not earlier than 15 minutes before opening time.

Blackjack is offered at two levels. The low-limit table takes $4 to $100 a hand, while the $5 table takes $5 to $400. Four Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Fast Action Hold'em are also on offer. The number of tables running on any given night is not published.

The evening

Booking a Poker Seat

Poker at Treasure Cove is $1-$2 No Limit. Monday to Thursday, the main table starts at 4:30 PM and a second table follows at 5:30 PM. Friday to Sunday it starts earlier: 1:00 PM for the main table, 2:00 PM for the second.

Seats are booked by phone at 250-614-9127. Calls are taken from 4:00 PM on weekdays and from 11:00 AM Friday to Sunday. No closing time is published for the game, so plan around the start rather than the finish.

The evening

Two Evening Bingo Sessions

The bingo hall sits to the left once you step through the main casino doors. It has more than 600 terminals, and paper cards are there too. Sessions start at 11 AM, 2:30 PM, 6 PM and 10 PM, every day of the week.

For a night in the hotel, the 6 PM and 10 PM sessions are the two evening choices. Start times are published, but session length is not. On Monday and Tuesday, the 2:30 PM session is Learn to Play. The hall takes cash and debit.

The evening

Machines, Tickets and Roulette

Treasure Cove has more than 500 slot machines, and each one pays out by ticket. Three Ticket Redemption Machines turn those tickets into cash. An ATM is on site as well.

Electronic Roulette takes bets from $1 to $100. By the hotel's measure, the gaming space covers 37,000 square feet. A budget fixed at home is easier to keep when the bank card stays upstairs in the room.

The evening

At the Guest Services Desk

Guest Services is the desk to the left of the entrance, and it doubles as the lottery centre. It sells Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max, Keno, Sports Action, pull tabs and scratch tickets. Winning tickets are cashed there up to $24,999. Tickets of $2,000 or more are checked Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 2 pieces of government photo ID. The casino is also a BC Racebook off-track betting location.

Encore Rewards, the players card, is set up at the same desk. Points are redeemed at a slot machine using the card and a 4-digit PIN. Unclaimed points expire after a year.
